About Us

Central Dakota Humane Society provides vital services for the animal population of Bismarck-Mandan and the central North Dakota area. We rescue are care for stray, injured, abandoned, abused animals. We provide a warm bed, nutritious food, exercise, love, socialization, and training, and then work to find them new, loving homes.

CDHS also:

• Promotes the spaying and neutering of pets to cut down on the number of unwanted litters of kittens and puppies by offering $50 spay/neuter coupons to the public.
•  Helps to fill the bowl of pets in need in our community through our Buddy's Bowl Program. Free pet food is available at several human aid organizations in our community.
• Provides a place for volunteers to help in the community.
• Educates about proper pet care and our organization's mission through school visits, shelter tours, and service group presentations.
• Provides a spot for relaxation and calm. Walking a dog or snuggling with a cat is sure to brighten your day.
